The first step is training the qualified mentors under ZSD Academy platform!
We are very pleased to finish our production year with this great news. As we informed you before Zaliv Ship Design (ZSD) is developing the educational partnership with a local academic community in Mykolaiv. In continuing with this strategy the Shipbuilding Educational and Scientific Institute together with ZSD began the process of introducing modern information technologies for ship design into the training process after the CADMATIC educational licenses were obtained in December.
The first step was to train the qualified mentors. Two teachers of the Shipbuilding Educational and Scientific Institute – Grigory Sharun and Alina Astakhova are undergoing training under the program developed by the specialists of Zaliv Ship Design now.
The training is conducting by the leading specialist of ZSD – Anatoly Kardash, the head of Hull Outfitting team. In addition, after training, the teachers will take an internship in the ZSD’s engineering teams and gain experience in real commercial projects of the company.
The next step is training students in 3D modeling skills and working with CADMATIC computer-aided design system.
Passing the course will give advantages to students in employment both after graduation and during educating at the Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding (NUS).
Especially to this reason, today, a standard training program for students is being developed on the ZSD Academy platform with the assistance of the specialists of Zaliv Ship Design.
It is planning now by NUS that the training course will be implemented into the educational academic programme of the disciplines «Computer-Oriented Design of Ships», «Computer Design of Ship Hulls», and «Design of Hull Structures Using Engineering Analysis Systems».
